Google TV, the interface that runs on top of Android TV, will have 50 free channels coming soon. Next, we will tell you what they will be and all the details you should know.
Before starting with the channel list, it is important to clarify some concepts. Google TV is not a substitute for the Android TV operating system, but rather an interface or customization layer that is applied on top of it.
This would be something similar to what happens with Android phones, when manufacturers modify their operating system through layers of customization. Undoubtedly, something new in this type of software, since televisions with Android TV do not usually modify their interface.
Google TV is currently preparing its platform to make it more competitive with other Smart TV options. For example, buying a Samsung brand smart TV automatically allows you to access the 200 channels of Samsung TV Plus.
Therefore, one of the biggest advances of Google TV will be the launch of its own set of live television channels. As we have mentioned before, there will be a total of 50 channels and they will be supported by batches of ads.
Unlike the options that we find available on Google TV today, these channels will not require downloading, registration or subscription in any extra app. This happens with applications such as Pluto TV, Philo and Youtube TV, also available on the platform.
