Microsoft is likely to debut new features for Windows 10 later this year, perhaps inspired by Windows 11.
Since the release of Windows 11, the Redmond have focused on including new functionality and features in their new operating system, delegating only bug fixes and security updates to the Windows 10 operating system.
However, things could change now in the last quarter of the year, because Microsoft is going to release a dedicated update exclusively for Windows 10, called Windows 10 22H2 and that would include a series of new features, we'll see if they are inspired by Windows 11.
And yet the first preview version of Windows 10 22H2 is now available for Insiders, an update identified as KB5015878 and that would be the first time that those from Redmond recognize that Windows 10 will receive a specific update later this year, they report from How to Geek.
And it is that Microsoft would be considering this update important enough to have a new version name, so it could include significant new features.
In any case this first preview build is focused on validating the service technology but curiously the final update " will have a specific set of features”.
Those of Redmond point out that more details will be shared at the end of the year, so it would be necessary to see if Microsoft finally tries to include some of the exclusive features of Windows 11 in its previous operating system.
As we said, since the release of Windows 11 last year, Windows 10 has only received security fixes and minor changes, and current preview builds haven't included any notable improvements.
